And off we go

Well here we are two weeks into the new season and so far it's going quite well. Meaford No.2 started over the easter weekend and Florence No.2 was performing this weekend, firstly yesterday on a Driver Experience followed by a Real Ale Train in the evening. I've put a short video of Florence arriving back at Caverswall Road station up on YouTube.
Other news is that Wimblebury's ashpan repairs have been completed and the loco is being prepared for a return to service over the May Bank Holiday weekend. Whiston and Dubs are both on the verge of hydraulic tests for the boiler inspector and Bagnall 2842 is now having more bits bolted back onto the boiler and a return to action for the first time in preservation looks increasingly likely to happen by the summer. The photo is of the smokebox showing the blastpipe assembly in place.
