A meeting has been announced to discuss the way forward to the hopeful opening of Foxfield Bank to passenger services. There is still much to be done in this respect, such as completing the platform facilities, supplying some sort of refreshment facility, finishing the trackwork to the correct standard, operating staff training, and a host of other items to do with the extension, all of which could (and should?) have been made known to the general membership a year or two (or more?) ago. Let's hope that this is the start of a more enlightened time where decisions made by the powers that like to be are communicated to the members and everyone may finally have a sense of purpose and direction.
For those Foxfield members who are interested in attending the meeting is to be held at Caverswall Road Station starting at 7.30pm on the evening of 12th of March... no wait there's a Folk evening on then, it's the 2nd April.... or maybe the 23rd April.... no that's too far away, definitely the 2nd of April.... for now!
