Just a quick update on proceedings in the loco department. Bellerophon has had the boiler boxed up with washout plugs and mud lids all being refitted last weekend ready for a trial steaming and running in of the new little ends. Dubs is gradually being reassembled, the latest item to be tackled is the Steam Brake which has spent two weekends on the bench being put together and taken apart again to free it up! But most importantly The owners of Millom have bought a new whistle to replace the missing one which was lost whilst the engine was at Astley Green Colliery Museum.
This coming weekend sees Florence No2 and the Beyer Peacock in action for the 'Friendly Engines' event... there's one in the eye for HiT!
